Please someone rate my first paper:
Subject: Should we have an Annual School Camping Trip for 6th Grade?
The sixth-grade students at LIS should go on an annual grade-wide camping trip because you can get plenty of exercise, be able to have real-world experiences, and it is also a wonderful opportunity to make new friends. Sure, it would be expensive, but I say that it’s worth it.
Camping has many benefits, but the first one that I will focus is that camping can give you real-world experiences. For example, reconnecting with nature instead of doing a worksheet and stargazing instead of staring at your computer screen googling galaxy phone cases. So the next time that you want to open your computer, think to yourself, “the average American, ages 8-18, spend nearly 8 hours a day on an electronic device. Am I average, or awesome?”
Another benefit of camping is the possibility to get plenty of exercise.Only half of today’s kids and teens get the recommended 60 minutes of exercise. As a result, about 17 percent of today’s youth suffer from childhood obesity. At camp, you can get much more exercise than you would just sitting in a classroom all day. Exercise can also be lots of fun!
The last benefit of camping is that you can make new friends. Furthermore, over the summer I went to a church camp and met a ton of new friends there who were interested in the same things that I am. I even met my doppelganger! At camp, you can find people who you will remember for life.
Some people might say that it’s too expensive to go camping with so many kids, but I have a solution. Let’s say that it costs $3,000 for 300 people. If each person pays $10, then the cost is paid, let the fun begin! With some simple math, you can take 300 kids camping for $10 per person. Also, according to a survey that I conducted, 15/25 school age kids would like to go on a school camping trip.
There are certain things that you can do to convince other people (or yourself) to go camping such as going on day hikes, assuring them that the campgrounds have flushable toilets, and re-reading this essay! That is why the sixth-grade students at LIS should go on an annual grade-wide camping trip. You can get plenty of exercises, be able to have real-world experiences, and it is also a wonderful opportunity to make new friends. I hope that you can consider my essay as one worthy of further thought.
